Engagement metrics help you understand how visitors interact with your site beyond just loading it. These signals reveal how effectively your content captures attention, encourages interaction, and keep users involved.

What is total ad clicks?

Total ad clicks represents the total number of times users clicked on advertisements displayed across your website. It reflects how often users are engaging with on-site ads, regardless of how many times those ads were shown.

How is it measured?

Each time a user clicks on an ad - whether it’s a banner, native placement, or in-content unit - it’s counted as one ad click. This metric simply sums all ad clicks over a defined period, offering a cumulative view of advertising interaction.

Why it matters?

A high number of total ad clicks shows that your ad strategy is working - ads are visible, relevant, and compelling enough to prompt action. If this number is unexpectedly low, it may indicate issues with placement, creative quality, targeting, or performance problems like delayed ad rendering. Monitoring total ad clicks helps you evaluate monetization success and refine your ad delivery for better engagement and revenue.
