Engagement metrics help you understand how visitors interact with your site beyond just loading it. These signals reveal how effectively your content captures attention, encourages interaction, and keep users involved.

What is ad clicks per pageview?

Ad clicks per pageview measures the average number of advertisement clicks users make during a single pageview. It reflects how frequently users interact with ads while browsing your content.

How is it measured?

We track every time a user clicks on an advertisement during a pageview. These clicks are then averaged across all pageviews to determine how many ad clicks occur per visit. For example, if 200 clicks happen over 1,000 pageviews, the average is 0.2 ad clicks per pageview.

Why it matters?

A higher value suggests that ads are not just being seen - they’re being acted on. That could be due to smart placement, engaging creative, or high audience relevance. Low values might point to poorly positioned ads, weak targeting, or even performance issues like delayed loading or layout shifts. Monitoring this metric helps you balance monetization with user experience while maximizing ad effectiveness.
