The Journeys view shows how visitors move through your website on their way to an important funnel milestone.

While Milestones show you the key steps in your funnel, Journeys show you the actual paths visitors take between those steps.

Uxify detects the different paths visitors follow and automatically orders them from the most popular to the least popular, helping you quickly understand how your customers navigate your website.

Milestones show you the steps. Journeys show you how visitors move between them.

Visitor flow and Revenue flow

Journeys can be viewed from two different perspectives.

Visitor flow

Visitor flow shows how many shoppers follow each path.

Use this view when you want to understand:

  • How visitors move through your funnel

  • Which paths are most common

  • Where visitors drop off

  • How many visitors reach a selected milestone

For example, you may discover that the most common path to Checkout is:

Page → Add to cart → Checkout

while another group follows:

Page → Product → Add to cart → Checkout

Revenue flow

Revenue flow shows the same journeys based on the revenue associated with each path.

Use this view when you want to understand the financial impact of different customer journeys.

Instead of seeing how many shoppers followed a path, you can see the value that moved through each step.

For example:

Page → Add to cart → Checkout

might represent €55.8K at the Page stage, €18.9K at Add to cart, and €7K at Checkout.

This can help you prioritize opportunities based not only on the number of visitors affected, but also on their potential revenue impact.

Choose what you want to analyze

Journeys lets you select the funnel milestone you want to analyze.

You can investigate paths leading to:

  • Conversion — for example, Checkout

  • Pre-conversion — for example, Add to cart

  • Micro conversion — for example, Product

This lets you analyze different stages of the customer journey.

For example, you can ask:

What paths lead to Checkout?

or:

What paths lead to Add to cart?

or:

What paths lead to Product?

Select the milestone from the dropdown above the journey visualization.

Analyze different channels

You can filter Journeys by traffic channel to understand whether visitors coming from different sources behave differently.

Depending on your traffic, you can analyze journeys across channels such as:

  • Organic

  • Paid

  • UTM

  • Direct

  • Referral

  • And other available channels

You can choose All channels to see the combined journey data or select a specific channel to focus your analysis.

For example, you might discover that visitors from organic search commonly follow:

Page → Product → Add to cart → Checkout

while paid visitors may take a different path.

Select a time period

Journeys can also be analyzed for a specific period of time.

Use the date selector to choose the period you want to investigate, such as:

Last 30 days

The journey visualization will then reflect visitor behavior within the selected period.

This is useful when comparing different periods or investigating changes in customer behavior after a campaign, redesign, or other website change.

How Uxify detects journeys

Uxify doesn't assume that every visitor follows the same funnel. Instead, it analyzes the actual paths visitors take between your funnel milestones.

For example, if visitors reach Checkout through several different sequences, Uxify detects each variation:

Page → Add to cart → Checkout

Page → Product → Add to cart → Checkout

Page → Product → Product → Add to cart → Checkout

Each variation is shown as a separate path.

Uxify then orders the paths from most popular to least popular, making it easy to start with the journeys that have the greatest amount of visitor activity.

Understanding drop-offs

Each journey shows how visitors progress from one milestone to the next.

You can see:

  • How many visitors reached each milestone

  • The percentage that continued

  • The percentage that dropped off

  • How many ultimately reached the selected milestone

In Revenue flow, these values are represented as revenue rather than visitors.

This makes it easy to spot where visitors - or revenue — are being lost along the journey.

In short

Use Journeys when you want to understand the paths visitors take through your funnel.

You can:

  • Switch between Visitor flow and Revenue flow

  • Analyze paths to Conversions, Pre-conversions, or Micro conversions

  • Filter by traffic channel

  • Select a specific time period

  • See all detected path variations

  • Quickly identify the most popular journeys

  • See where visitors or revenue drop off

Uxify does the work of detecting and organizing the different paths, so you can focus on understanding how your visitors actually move through your website.
