What is INP by country
INP by country shows the Interaction to Next Paint (INP) for your most visited countries. This lens is useful to find countries from which the traffic is experiencing slower responsiveness and impacting your overall INP metric.
The list includes only countries from which your website received traffic during the selected period and device type. Countries with no traffic won't appear.
Usual reasons for poor responsiveness in certain countries include high network latency, slower devices, background CPU load, or browser responsiveness limitations under regional network conditions.
By default, the widget shows only the top countries by traffic. Maximize the lens widget to see all countries.
INP is one of the Core Web Vitals and measures how quickly your site reacts to user input like clicks, taps, and keyboard interactions.
Healthy INP by country sample
Should you worry
A healthy INP by country lens looks all green. Some countries may be greener than others, but as long as there's no yellow or red, it’s considered healthy. The greener the country, the more responsive the site feels for users.
Unhealthy INP by country sample
In the example below, the INP by country reveals that United States and Germany are where most of the users visit from and at the same time have the slowest real user INP values. This directly translates to higher bounce rate, higher exit rate, and lower conversion rate.
Resolving unhealthy INP by country
Go-to action plan to resolve an unhealthy INP by country:
Ask Uxi to analyze your INP by country values and suggest improvements.
Use Filters to focus on the slow country in your INP by country, then look across the other INP lenses to find which ones show the worst interaction delays with the most pageviews.
Simulate INP of the suspected lens to see if fixing it will resolve the INP by country. If yes, this is where the resolution focus should be.
Use an automated INP optimization tool like INProve to improve your INP by country values.
Once you’ve improved INP, set an alert to be the first to know if it starts worsening again.
