By monitoring specific user actions or page visits, Funnel points allow you to gain deeper insights into your user's behavior and identify opportunities for improvement.

Predefined Funnel points

For Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento stores, Squarespace, Wix and Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Uxify offers predefined Funnel points tailored to common user journeys, such as:

  • Home – Navigating through the homepage

  • Collection – Browsing category or catalog pages

  • Product – Viewing product detail pages

  • Account – Accessing account-related pages like Login, Register, or Account Management

  • Blog – Exploring the blog landing page

  • Blog post – Reading individual blog articles

  • Page – Visiting static pages such as “Contact Us” or “About Us”

  • Search – Interacting with the search bar

  • Cart – Reaching the cart (pre-conversion intent)

  • Checkout – Entering the checkout process (conversion point)

These predefined Funnel points are automatically available, saving you setup time and ensuring essential touchpoints are tracked. You can also add your own custom Funnel points to further customize the analysis.

Custom Funnel points for All Platforms

For other platforms predefined Funnel points are not yet available. However, you can manually create your own custom Funnel points to suit your website’s unique structure.

How to Add a Custom Funnel point

To add a custom Funnel point, follow these steps:

  1. Click on "Add Funnel point"

  2. Fill in the Funnel point Name
Enter a name that describes the user action or event you want to track (e.g., “Clicked Signup Button” or “Visited Blog Page”).

  3. Select Type
    You can choose from:
    - Regular funnel point - suitable for Landing pages, Categories, Blog, Products, etc.
    - Microconversion - suitable for Sign in/Sign up pages or actions.
    - Preconversion - suitable for Add to cart actions and Cart visits.
    - Conversion - suitable for the checkout page or actions leading to checkout.

  4. Add a Trigger
    Select the type of trigger:

    • Page visit : Activates the Funnel point when a user visits a specific page.

    • Click : Activates the Funnel point when a user clicks on a button or chosen element.

    • Ads click: Activates the Funnel point when a user clicks on a specific Ad-containing element.

  5. Configure the Condition
Define the condition that will activate the trigger. For example:

    • Specify the URL for a page visit trigger.
      or/and

    • Identify the element for a click trigger using a CSS selector or unique identifier.

  6. Save
Save your custom Funnel point. It will now appear in your list of Funnel points and start tracking the defined user actions or events.

Configuring a Funnel point as Product view, Pre-conversion, or Conversion

After adding a Funnel point, whether predefined or custom, you can further configure it to define its role in the user journey.

  • Product view point: Use this for Funnel points tied specifically to product pages. This flag helps you track when users view product details, providing more granular insights into their browsing behavior before they move toward conversion.

  • Pre-conversion point: Use this for Funnel points that represent user actions leading up to a conversion but not directly related to product views. For example, adding an item to the cart or initiating checkout.

  • Conversion point: Use this for Funnel points that represent the final desired user action, such as completing a purchase or signing up.

To configure a Funnel point:

  1. Locate the Funnel point in your list.

  2. Click the ⋯ (three dots menu) next to the Funnel point.

  3. Select whether the Funnel point is a Product view, Pre-conversion, or Conversion point.

  4. Save your changes.

By organizing Funnel points into product view, pre-conversion, and conversion steps, Uxify can provide clearer, more detailed insights into user behavior and drop-offs - helping you optimize every stage of the customer journey more effectively.
